Blessed are the peacemakers for theirs is the kingdom
Purity & Peace are gained by living as citizens of the kingdom
Engaging in the Kingdom Ethic – two gains:
- Pure-hearted – 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart
The pure in heart are “clean & upright” in Christ’s righteousness
- Peace-builder – 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers
The peacemakers are “pursuers & doers” of Christ’s peace
