Woeful Warnings – Jude 8-11

“They speak abusively against whatever… woe to them!”

Three Warnings of Judgment

1. Slander – archangel Michael (v. 8-9)

They reject authority and slander celestial beings

2. Ignorance – unreasoning animals (v. 10)

Unreasoning – the very things that destroy them

3. Rebellion – Cain, Balaam, Korah (v. 11)

They have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion

Our practical response to false teaching:

1) Accountable to avoid agreement – in caution (danger)

2) Equipped to recognize warnings – in contrast (different)

3) Dedicated to standing firm – in Christ (devoted)
