“We are Family” – Ephesians 2:12-22

Citizens with God’s people…members of God’s household

The purpose of oneness (2:14-18):

His purpose was to create in Himself one people out of the two

The pictures of oneness:

1. One holy nation (2:19)

No longer foreigners or aliens, citizens

2. One holy family (2:19)

God’s people and members of God’s household

3. One holy temple (2:20-21)

Together to become a holy temple in the Lord

 

The progression of oneness (2:12-21):

You were separate from Christ…reconciled

You were distant and divided…brought near

Become a dwelling in which God lives
