Rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ

Reasons to expect & embrace Suffering:

1. Christ predicted our suffering – John 15:20

If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also

2. Christ participated in suffering – 1 Peter 3:18

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God

3. Christ purposed His sufferings – 1 Peter 4:12-19

Rejoice… overjoyed… blessed in Christ’s sufferings
