Strange & Separate

1 Peter 1:13-21

Set your hope fully on grace…be holy in all you do…live strange

Two commands, two separations & one conclusion:

1) Stop being conformed to sinful desires (1:13-14)

Set your hope fully on grace

Do not conform to the evil desires you had

Set your hope fully on grace ~ be separated from sin

2) Start being controlled by sanctified desires (1:15-16)

Just as He who called you is holy

Be holy in all you do

Set your heart fully on God ~ be separated to God

Stay constant in your spiritual desires (1:17-21)

Live as strangers here in reverent fear…

Set your faith and hope in God
