Guard your steps when you go to the house of God

Testing rash rituals (three impulses of religion)

• Rash sacrifices – Eccl. 5:1

Draw near to listen rather than the sacrifice of fools

• Ritual prayers – Eccl. 5:2-3

Do not be quick with your mouth

• Reckless vows – Eccl. 5:4-6

Do not delay when you make a vow to God

Answer: Revere the LORD – Therefore, stand in awe of God
