“Proper Boasting” – 2 Corinthians 11-12

Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast

The God and Father of the Lord Jesus be praised forever

Paul’s parody: 2 Cor. 11:16-21

Three Proper Testimonies:

1. Proper Perspective – testify to His protection (11:22-33)

I will boast of the things that show my weakness

Trust His protection & testify to God’s presence in weakness

2. Proper Petitions – testify to His grace (12:7-8)

Three times I pleaded with the Lord

Trust His purposes & testify to God’s grace in trials

3. Proper Praise – testify to His power (12:9-10)

So that Christ’s power may rest on me

Trust His power & testify to God’s provision of rest
