“Fire-tested Faith” – 1 Peter 1:6-12

In this you greatly rejoice, though if necessary, trials

A purpose of tests & trials – to produce results of faith:

  1. Grievous Suffering – result: refining pure faith

You may have to suffer grief in all kinds of trials

Refining Result: faith greater than gold refined by fire…genuine

  1. Glorious Salvation – result: rejoicing praise-filled faith

You are receiving the goal of your faith, salvation of your soul

Rejoicing Result: faith filled with an inexpressible glorious joy
