I finished the race…you too should be on your guard
Guard against race obstacles (overcoming)
- Loneliness – 4:9-13 (separation)
Do your best to come to me quickly
- Disappointment – 4:14-15 (strife & suffering)
Alexander did me a great deal of harm
- Opposition – 4:15-18 (setbacks)
No one came to my support, but everyone deserted me
- Failings – 4:11, 19-22 (shortcomings)
