Holy Spirit showing us the way into the most Holy place

Covenant contrasts: specific rules to spiritual relationship
1) Regulations for worship (9:1-5)
a. External – earthly & temporary
The first covenant had regulations for worship

b. Internal – spiritual & eternal – John 4:21-24
True worshippers will worship in spirit & truth

2) Righteous preparations (9:6-10)
a. External – limited & symbolic
Sacrifices offered could not clear the conscience

b. Internal – sincere & spiritual – Psalm 51
Sacrifices of God are a broken spirit & contrite heart
