Kingdom Deliverance & Restoration – “Approaching the throne of grace”

Our King, Jesus, is also the “Great High Priest” who goes before us, is for us and is ready to help us!

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence,

so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4:16

*What is the biggest need that you have in your life right now (emotionally, physically or spiritually)?

*Who are you praying for daily or regularly for Jesus to help in their time of need?

*Does Jesus still heal people today?  Is there a link between faith and the power of Jesus to heal?

*We know that God does not change, but is healing, redeeming and restoring part of God’s unchanging nature?

If we believe, that the God of the Old Testament, Yahweh-Rapha, which in Hebrew means, “The Lord Who Heals” (Exodus 15:26) is One with the God of the New Testament, Jesus-Messiah, who came “preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people” (Matthew 4:23), then we will approach Him with confidence to rescue & restore.

The Greek word used for “has healed” (Luke 8:48) and “has saved” (Luke 7:50) is sesoken, a form of the word, sṓzō which means “safe, rescued” – to deliver out of danger into safety; it is used of God rescuing from the penalty and power of sin, leading us into His provisions: “to preserve, rescue, save from death, or to keep alive” – the word is used for both physical and spiritual rescue.

Chapter 8 in Luke’s gospel is an incredible chapter of the extensive deliverance and restoration of King Jesus.

Scripture Study: Luke 8:43-48 – a healing of grace & power, exercised by faith & confidence in Christ

As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. A woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

“Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”

Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her,

“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

Healing, of every kind, is in His Hands – His power & His will – so our faith is in Him

“When Jesus saw their faith, he said, Friend, your sins are forgiven…I tell you, get up” –Luke 5:20, 24

“Your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” –Luke 8:48

“Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” –Luke 8:50

“O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long…Bring the boy to me.” –Luke 9:41

“Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” –Luke 17:19

How would you describe the link between God’s power to heal and our faith in Him
