Waiting Well
Waiting on the LORD in times of difficulty
“Waiting Well” – Psalm 130
How can we be rescued from this distress?
Four movements out of the depths in the Psalm 130
- Crying out to God – climb out (1-2) –look up
- Confessing our sin – contrite heart (3-4) –look in
- Choosing to watch – commit (5-6) –look out
- Confirming our hope – confident (7-8) –look ahead
We wait well by actively moving toward the Redeemer
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
