True Liberty – Romans 8:1-23

Liberated from bondage & decay ~ brought into glorious freedom

1. Groaning Labor (as in child birth) ~ “in the flesh”
  • Bondage tied to flesh (weakness)
  • Bondage tied to sin nature (evil desire)
  • Bondage tied to death (decay)
2. Glorious Liberty (as in spiritual birth) ~ “in the Spirit”
  • Freedom bound in the Spirit (strength)
  • Freedom bound in Christ (righteousness)
  • Freedom bound in life (redeemed)

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed ~ John 8:36
