Shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks

Two exchanges of surprising love:

  • Exchanging mundane for miraculous – Luke 2:8-12

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy for all

Shepherds among the mundane observed the miraculous.

Where are we called to displace tiresome with thrill?

 

  • Exchanging gloomy for the glorious – Luke 2:13-18

They spread the word concerning the child

Shepherds, not the poets or prophets, proclaimed the good news.

Where are we called to displace gloomy with glory?

 

“His Law is Love & His Gospel is Peace”
