2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

The lawless one will be revealed whom Jesus will overthrow

Rebellion & Victory- fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus

1. Coming – the Relief of Jesus ~ 2:1-5

   Don’t you remember I told you these things?

   Relief = John 14:1-4; 2 Thess. 1:7
   Retribution = Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thess. 1:8-9

2. Control – the Restraining of Jesus ~ 2:6-7

   The one who holds it back will continue to do so

   Romans 12:21; Ephesians 5:8-20; 1 Thess. 5:4, 15

3. Conquest – the Reward of Jesus ~ 2:8-12

   The Lord Jesus will overthrow and destroy by His coming

   John 16:33; Hebrews 2:14-15; 1 John 5:4-5
