1. Great Rejoicing – 1 Peter 1:6 & Matthew 21:12-16

In this you greatly rejoice, though now you have had to suffer

Expressions of rejoicing are being “squeezed out”

Guarantees of rejoicing based in our resurrection identity

2. Inexpressible Joy – 1 Peter 1:8 & Luke 19:37-41

You are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy

Expressions of joy are budding forth (overflowing)

Guarantees of joy based in our resurrection inheritance
