A Son is Given

Matthew 1:22-25 & Isaiah 9:1-6

She will give birth to a son…give him the name Jesus

This took place to fulfill what the Lord had said

An un-Expected Promise of Hope

1) Hope based in the Promise made ~ Isaiah 9:1-6

Hope was proclaimed by the prophet

2) Hope based in the Promise fulfilled ~ Matthew 1:22-23

Hope was delivered by an angel

3) Hope based in the Promise believed ~ Matthew 1:24-25

Hope was believed by Joseph
