Adult Game Night

Sounds risky right?

It’s not.

Just an evening for adults to play board games, eat some food and have some fun. That’s it! No other agenda but to connect and enjoy some fellowship.

This is not a new story, but with all of the “connected-ness” we all experience everyday – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Marco Polo, (and those are just the social media’s platforms I’m aware of, I know there are many more) we are actually more disconnected than ever. It’s easier to check your platform of choice than actually talk to someone to see how they are. It’s easier to watch an entertaining Instagram story than to look up and interact with the people right in front of you.

I’ve been trying to look up more. Waiting in line, at the stop light (which is against the law anyway), even out to eat – the pull of checking your phone is often irresistible.

We go through our days looking down instead of up and at the end of the day our neck is sore and our hearts are empty.

Saturday night is a chance to fill your lungs with laughter and your hearts with fellowship!
